Your new company This company is an established charity that provides a range of specialist abuse support services to women, men & children across the West Midlands region. Their holistic, trauma informed support enables victims to escape violence and abuse, cope with trauma and build resilience. Your new role Your new role will be to work as a part of an advisory team that provides a high quality frontline domestic abuse support service to those at high risk of harm. The Independent Domestic Violence Advisors support victims of domestic abuse to assess the level of risk, inform victims of their options and develop tailored safety plans to protect the victim and their children. The role supports the empowerment of victims/survivors, assisting them to recognise the dynamics of domestic abuse present in their own situation through one to one support, group work, all relevant to help them regain control of their levels. What you\’ll need to succeed This is a critical role that requires experience of working with managing a caseload of vulnerable service users, ideally victims of domestic violence, but not essential. You will also have experience of working with empathy, compassion, communicating, caseload management, a client-centred approach and proactive crisis intervention. Only female applicants will be considered for this role & a full UK driving licence with access to a car is also required.
