Opportunity
Working as part of a skilled multi-discipline team, Head Medical are seeking a Consultant in Orthopaedic Surgery who specialises in Upper Limb Orthopaedics (Hands & Wrist) to come to work for a leading private hospital in the UK.
Based in the City of Plymouth, Devon, as part of their professional, friendly and compassionate team, you will do everything you can to ensure the patient’s treatment is of the highest standard. This organisation focuses on ensuring that patients receive high-quality treatment quickly, in clean and comfortable surroundings.
You will be part of a team providing an onsite orthopaedic surgical service to meet the needs of patients treated. The centre hosts a day surgery unit and outpatient department which offers minor orthopaedic procedures.
The successful appointee will be required to perform orthopaedic surgical procedures and clinics on patients referred to the Hospital, including to note:
- Private carpal tunnel syndrome surgery and treatment
- Dupuytren’s contracture surgery and treatment
- Ganglion cyst removal, treatment and surgery
- Trapeziectomy surgery and treatment
- Trigger finger release surgery and treatment
Whilst a typical full-time working week will comprise 40 hours (8 PAs), working patterns will be flexible over primarily a Monday to Saturday rota.
