Scopely is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Platform) to join our unannounced project in Dublin or Barcelona on a remote or hybrid basis working 3 days a week from the hub. We can support with visa sponsorship and relocation assistance.

We are in the early stages of development on an ambitious, unannounced, cross-platform Strategy/MMO title, creating a team of talented and passionate game makers to join us on this exciting journey!
What You Will Do
- Build and maintain full stack web applications and internal tools, from front-end UI/UX to backend APIs
- Develop and optimize features that support live game operations, empowering our designers and operators with real-time control and insights
- Work closely with product teams, game designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, plan technical solutions, and ensure successful deployments.
- Design and implement high-performance, low-latency web services in a cloud environment (AWS preferred) that can handle millions of players
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, implement automated tests, and ensure high standards of code quality and maintainability
- Utilize containerization (Docker) and infrastructure-as-code practices to deliver reliable, repeatable, and efficient deployment processes
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture planning to ensure best practices and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
- Several years of professional experience as a software engineer, with a strong foundation in programming and web development
- Hands-on experience in modern backend languages (Python strongly preferred; Go or C# also a plus) and a willingness to learn new technologies
- Solid understanding of RESTful services and modern web frameworks (Vue.js or Angular preferred). Experience with JavaScript (ES6), TypeScript, and CSS preprocessors (e.g., SCSS) is essential
- Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL/Postgres) and caching solutions (Redis). Capable of writing efficient queries and designing schemas for low-latency environments
- Experience with containerized solutions (Docker) in a public cloud environment (AWS preferred). Infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is a bonus.
- Demonstrated ability to set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, and load testing for robust production deployments
- Committed to writing clean, maintainable, and testable code, with an emphasis on performance and scalability
- Comfortable discussing complex technical concepts with non-technical team members and collaborating with diverse teams
