Description
We’re hiring our first People Partner at Zinc! This is a rare opportunity to build our People function from scratch and shape how we support, develop, and empower our growing team.
As we scale past 100 people, we need a People leader who can take ownership of our current People plan while crafting new initiatives that enhance engagement, performance, and culture. You’ll work closely with leadership, hiring managers, and our Chief of Staff to create an environment where our team thrives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Shape the People Function: Refine our existing People strategy and introduce initiatives that align with Zinc’s company-wide objectives.
- Seamless Candidate-to-Onboarding Transition: Work with the Talent team to ensure a smooth, engaging onboarding experience, helping new hires ramp up quickly and integrate into their teams.
- Drive Performance & Progression: Support Zinc’s leaders and managers in running performance and development reviews, ensuring people feel supported in their growth.
- Build a Thriving Culture: Collaborate with the Chief of Staff to create a workplace where people live our values, feel secure, and stay motivated.
- Automate & Optimize HR Processes: Own People admin at Zinc, making processes as automated and efficient as possible through HR systems and tools.
- Be a Voice in the People Space: Build a brand in the People community through LinkedIn, events, or content creation. Share your experience launching and growing People at Zinc, positioning us as a leader in People innovation.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
Hard Skills:
- Content Creation: Comfortable writing and sharing insights on People topics.
- HR Systems & People Analytics: Experience with HRIS tools, data-driven decision-making, and process automation.
- Onboarding & Employment Law: Knowledge of UK employment regulations and best practices.
- HR Process Automation: A passion for streamlining workflows and reducing manual admin.
