Job Description:
Travis Baker , an RSK Group company, is recruiting for a Graduate Structural Engineer to join the team based in Birmingham, UK . This is a full-time, permanent position.
Travis Baker was established in 2006 to provide a high-quality service as professional consulting engineers. Since then, the company has grown strongly and we are now able to provide a full range of integrated engineering services throughout the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Structural Engineering design for a variety of Residential projects, reporting to senior technical staff.
- Production of calculations for both hand and computer-aided design relating to both foundations and superstructure.
- Design using all common structural materials including steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
- Use of design software packages including:
- TEDDS
- Tekla Structural Designer
- AutoCAD LT
- Microsoft Excel
- CADS
Qualifications and Experience:
- BEng or MEng in civil and/or structural engineering.
- Aiming to become a Chartered Engineer with ICE or IStructE.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Prepared to work as part of a team or as an individual.
- Candidates must be willing to spend time on-site and occasional stays away from home.
- Full UK driving licence.
