The basics
Job Title: Quality Engineer – Automotive
Location: Merthyr Tydfil
Hours: Monday to Thursday (8.00am – 4.45pm) and Friday (8.00am – 12.00)
Salary: Up to £42,000
Holidays: 26 + 8 bank holidays – shutdowns include, 1 week in May, 2 weeks in August, 2 days in October and Christmas.
Overview:
Working in first-class manufacturing facilities, we now require a Quality Engineer to join the business to ensure quality procedures are maintained to the highest standards.
The ideal candidate may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:
- Previous experience within the automotive industry
- Experience in PFMEA, 5S, and lean working methods
- CMM experience
Good understanding of ISO9001:2015; TS16949:2016.
Overview of Duties/Responsibilities:
- Investigate concerns and assist in preventing repeat issues.
- Ensure correct quality tools are available to meet customer and plant expectations.
- Management of customer concerns and the verification and reporting of corrective actions. Coordinate the process, ensuring all required parties comply with the corrective actions in a timely manner.
- Monitor and analyse production data to increase OEE.
