My client is a renowned international consulting firm with expertise across various sectors and is seeking a Team Lead for their established Ecology team.

Responsibilities & Tasks

  1. Lead a dynamic team of Ecologists in Glasgow, driving innovation and excellence.
  2. Manage workload, resourcing, and team wellbeing, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  3. Support the development of exciting opportunities, prepare tenders, and oversee project delivery.
  4. Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering growth and expertise.
  5. Collaborate with diverse disciplines, expanding the impact of the Ecology team.
  6. Create an enthusiastic, supportive, and fun working environment for all team members.

Ideally You Will Have The Following

  1. Demonstrated leadership in staff management with a strong commitment to nurturing talent and fostering career growth.
  2. Extensive experience working across various UK habitats and with protected species, including holding survey and/or mitigation licenses.
  3. Proven track record of guiding clients through survey programs, developing effective mitigation strategies, securing regulatory approval, and overseeing on-site implementation.
  4. Proficiency in Ecological Impact Assessment and proficiency in writing Environmental Statement chapters.
  5. Expertise in Habitat Regulations Assessment, ensuring compliance with relevant environmental regulations.
  6. Established success in securing commercial contracts, particularly within the energy, highways, and local government sectors.
