We have opportunities within Missile Systems Design for Systems Engineers of different levels of experience to join our growing team where you will be developing and delivering the latest Complex Weapons capabilities for our Armed Forces. You will work on MBDA products, helping to provide sovereign capability to the UK and our nation's allies around the world.
Salary: Up to Β£55,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

Missile System Designer Engineers are at the heart of the product development process, evaluating customer technical requirements to develop product requirement specifications, utilising system design and modelling techniques to study system behaviour and support design choices, planning and managing verification and validation to demonstrate cutting edge functionality and performance. You will gain a detailed understanding of missile system design as part of a diverse engineering development team creating new and innovative system solutions for our products.
What we're looking for from you:
- Application of systems engineering practices across the βV-modelβ to develop complex products
- Understanding of systems engineering tools (e.g. DOORS, Rhapsody) and applicable languages (SysML) is desirable
- Experience of managing engineering work packages to deliver value outcomes, including co-ordination of other engineering teams and SMEs
- Managing partners, including customers or suppliers and an ability to build excellent working relationships
- Application of Defence, Military or other aerospace standards and design assurance processes is useful
- A desire to develop and grow your systems engineering skills
- Experience gained in defence or aerospace industry, in government or the armed forces is useful
