We seek an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to help with our security efforts as we rapidly expand our 24/7 global cryptocurrency trading platform.
This is a high-impact senior role that offers the opportunity to help build a world-class security program from the ground up at a fast-growing crypto fintech company. In a newly formed team, your mission will be to:
- Work with the Head of Cyber Security to develop and implement a world-class cyber framework covering application, infrastructure, and cloud security.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and business teams to embed security into the SDLC.
- Establish secure baseline configurations for Linux instances, Kubernetes, and web services across GCP, AWS, and to a lesser degree Azure and Alibaba Cloud.
- Implement robust security monitoring, incident response, and threat-hunting capabilities.
- Drive automation and scalability of security processes using tools like Github Actions, Lambda, Cloud Functions, Ansible, Terraform, etc.
- Perform risk assessments, threat modeling, and penetration testing regularly.
- Educate and raise security awareness across the organisation through training and outreach.
- Stay updated on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices, especially in the crypto/blockchain space.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in cyber security.
- Deep expertise in securing cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Alibaba, Azure) and Linux environments.
- Hands-on experience securing Kubernetes and microservices architectures.
- Excellent knowledge of at least one scripting language such as Python.
- Strong knowledge of secure coding practices, OWASP Top 10, and web application security.
- Experience with security tools such as Wiz, Sentinel, GuardDuty, Security Command Center, Falco, SonarQube.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with fluency in English (written & spoken).
- Strategic mindset with the ability to balance security and business needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related technical field.
- Security certifications like CISSP, GIAC, CISM, AWS/GCP Security, CKS are highly desirable.
