Role Overview:
As the Head of Commercial Reporting, you will be responsible for delivering best-in-class business, commercial, customer facing and financial reporting across Link. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will ensure that all customer reporting suites, financial and commercial data is presented accurately and meaningfully, providing valuable insights to the business. With a focus on driving performance against key KPIs, you will leverage your technical expertise in Excel, BI tools, and financial analysis to recommend improvements and inform strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business and Financial Reporting:
- Lead the development and delivery of high-quality business, customer, commercial, and financial reports, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and timeliness.
- Provide detailed analysis and insights on financial performance against KPIs, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather and consolidate data, transforming it into clear, actionable reports for senior management.
- Drive improvements in reporting processes and the use of BI tools to streamline data presentation and enhance decision-making capabilities.
- Data Analysis and Insights:
- Interpret financial and commercial data to provide recommendations that improve business performance and operational efficiency.
- Ensure all reports add value by delivering clear insights, highlighting areas of opportunity or requiring focus, and supporting business initiatives.
- Use advanced Excel functions, BI platforms, and other relevant tools to analyse and present data in a user-friendly format.
- KPI Management and Performance Improvement:
- Monitor and track performance against business and/or client contract KPIs, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
- Highlight deviations from key targets and work with relevant teams to implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Continuously assess the company’s reporting frameworks to ensure alignment with commercial objectives and business strategies.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including finance, commercial, and operations to ensure data accuracy and relevance.
- Engage with stakeholders at all levels to understand reporting needs and develop tailored solutions.
- Present financial and commercial data in a clear and impactful manner, ensuring stakeholders can make informed decisions.
- Process Optimisation:
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement in financial and business reporting.
- Ensure reporting mechanisms are robust, efficient, and adaptable to the changing needs of the business.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Strong technical proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas, VBA, and modelling. Familiarity with BI tools and reporting software is essential.
- Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field.
- Proven experience in a commercial reporting or financial analysis role, ideally within a business-driven environment.
- Excellent analytical skills, with a track record of providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Ability to understand complex financial and commercial data and present it in a clear, impactful way.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders.
