Job Description

Our public sector client is currently looking to recruit a Head of Finance to join them, initially until July\\nThis is an ASAP start\\nIdeally need year end and local government experience.\\nHybrid working. Preferably 2/3 days in the office.\\nIn order to apply, you must possess the following:\\n * Significant experience managing financial services at a senior level in a large public sector organisation, and a track record of successful achievement.\\n * Experience of managing teams with specialist financial knowledge\\n * Experience of influencing and negotiating with others who may have conflicting viewpoints and agendas; and evidence of successful outcomes.\\n * Experience of working with lay representatives such as elected members.\\n * Successful experience of leading the management of change\\n * Membership of a CCAB body or CIMA\\n * Excellent numeracy and literacy skills to manage complex budgets.\\n * Excellent presentation skills.\\n * IT skills – able to utilise software to collate, analyse and produce statistical reports using complex data.\\n * Able to compose presentations, complex reports and business cases which clearly present and evidence recommendations for significant change to service provision.\\n * Significant experience of financial management in a large, multi-functional organisation, including advising senior management.\\n * Substantial experience of managing and developing staff.\\n * Substantial experience of providing sound financial advice on complex issues, including interpreting policies, procedures and regulations.\\n * Experience of identifying and delivering innovative opportunities to reduce costs and enhance value for money, in the context of scarce financial resources
