Your Contribution

As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will work in collaboration with the Geotechnical team.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules;
  • Responsible for project management and delivery of geotechnical investigations and analysis for engineering studies for deep and shallow foundations (static, seismic and dynamic machine loadings);
  • Infrastructure (new and replacements, including sewer and watermains, pipelines, telecommunication towers, highways, bridges, railways);
  • Slope and earth structure stability, tailings dams, hydrogeology studies, stormwater control facilities, in-situ testing;
  • Instrumentation, construction inspection and laboratory testing;
  • You will also play a keyrole on the engineering team providing leadership and mentoring of the team members;
  • Prepare Technical proposals and write engineering reports;
  • Business Development, client liaison and management.

Your Profile

  • University degree in Geotechnical or Geological Engineering;
  • Completion of advanced or specialized university courses in geotechnical engineering and foundation engineering (Masters’ degree an asset);
  • 6+ years of solid Geotechnical engineering experience;
  • Experience in geotechnical related work such as site investigations, design of deep and shallow foundations, slope stability and on-site review of construction activities (asset);
  • Current registration with MTO\’s RAQs for foundations and/or tunneling disciplines an asset;
  • Registration with PEO;
  • Fluent English, written and spoken;
  • Demonstrated ability that you are well organized, show initiative and can manage a team of geotechnical engineers and technicians;
  • Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health and safety.
