Job title : Environmental Manager Job location: Bridgwater, Somerset – Onsite Position type: Permanent Salary : Competitive + Car allowance Our Client a Global Engineering company are seeking Environmental Manager and this role is placed within Nuclear, Power Station, Energy, Construction and highly regulated industry based in Somerset location for a permanent position. Role If you are successful, you will have experience working within a security cleared environment providing essential knowledge, advice and support to the local site management to enable them to operate in accordance with the environmental guidelines and targets. What will you do in this position? As an Environmental Manager, you will promote a positive Environmental Culture across all projects, legal entities, and the supply chain. You will contribute to Environmental commitments by promoting best practices and ensuring the implementation of environmental policies and procedures. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and reviewing site performance through regular inspections and audits, conducting impact assessments to reduce environmental risks and costs, and recording findings while identifying areas for improvement. Additionally, you will agree on remedial actions with site management for any non-conformance and conduct follow-up reviews to ensure proper implementation. Experience & Qualifications You should have over 5 years of experience as an Environmental Manager on large-scale, high-risk Engineering and Construction projects from a power generation, nuclear, Oil and gas sector. Proficiency in CDM and EPC project delivery and knowledge of UK HSE Legislation. You should be able to conduct Audits, Inspections, and implement Remedial actions for non-conformance Expertise in Management System Standards, including ISO 14001, Incident Management, and Investigation. Familiarity with Nuclear Safety Culture and eligibility to obtain Security Clearance is essential. CCNSG Safety Passport and IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management / Applicable Degree / NEBOSH Environmental / ISO 14001 Lead Auditor What's in it for you?
