artisan baker / patisserie chef
Coburn & Baker , a well established and growing artisan bakery, based in Brighton, is looking for a baker and a patisserie chef with commitment and passion for baking.
We are looking to hire two experienced baker/ viennoiserie baker but are willing to consider candidates with a relevant work history i.e. Catering and food production sector.
The role requires:
- For the viennoiserie section – Laminating, Shaping and baking and finishing a variety of artisan pastries and ensuring high-quality standards.
- For the bread Section – dough scaling, shaping and baking a variety of breads and Sourdough breads
- Follow food safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Experiment with new recipes and techniques to enhance the menu offerings.
In house training will be given.
We operate a modern bakery and invest constantly in our operation and there is a scope of job and benefits improvement to the right candidate. These would be discussed further in person.
We are a wholesale craft bakery, supplying breads, sourdough breads, patisserie, savouries and cakes to high end restaurants, pubs, cafes, caterers & boutique hotels throughout Sussex. Our bakery operates 24/7, offering a unique service for catering establishments. Please have a look at our website.
We are looking for experienced, motivated, talented and reliable bakers to join our team.
Shifts start between 11am to 3pm, depending on a shift assigned.
5 shifts per week including Saturdays and Sundays.
2 consecutive days off in the mid week.
