Job Description

London office location – Hybrid 2 days a week

Salary up to £85k + car allowance and bonus

We are partnering with a global business who are seeking an experienced Commercial Contracts Manager to support one of their fastest growing sectors in the UK. Working predominantly on pre-contract activity, you will be adept at working at pace and interacting with senior stakeholders.

This role is for a people person. Someone who likes getting under the skin of commercial problems and acting as a trusted advisor to the business to maximise value and minimise risk within your contract portfolio.

You will have ambitious growth plans and be driven to progress your career in a respectable commercial function. Experience from sectors such as IT/outsourcing, defence or FM would be a great fit for this role.

Responsibilities:

  1. Identify the risks, liabilities, and commitments of contractual agreements; ensure these are clearly understood and that the business fully appreciates any potential impact.
  2. Review, draft, update and maintain contract documents working independently of legal.
  3. Monitor and report performance and compliance against contractual obligations including commercial performance, financial management and contract management.
  4. Monitor customer satisfaction.
  5. Work with the contract delivery teams to ensure that the management of change request process and change implementation is carried out in line with the contracts.
  6. Report on progress of change requests and projects.
  7. Review contract performance, assessing commercial risks and ensuring appropriate steps are taken to manage the risk.
  8. Prevent and resolve contractual disputes.
  9. Assure adherence to Group Commercial Policy.
  10. Support the client engagement teams in all commercial aspects, post contract signature, to achieve the orders, profit and cash budget and overall management of the Client relationship.
  11. Support the delivery streams who are responsible for the delivery of projects and provide clear direction working with the client engagement team.
