The Role As Our Head Of Buying & Merchandising, You\’ll Be The Driving Force Behind Our Buying & Merchandising Team. Your Strategic Vision Will Not Only Shape Our Product Offerings But Also Enhance Our Customer\’s Investment Experience. We’re Looking For Someone Who Thrives in hands-on management, optimising product availability, pricing, and efficiency. Takes active involvement in product buying, ensuring alignment with our market goals. Identifies and introduces new product ranges aligned with target markets, enhancing customer engagement. Drives cost reductions and process efficiencies to deliver exceptional customer value. Fosters relationships with partners to streamline operations. Champions commercial awareness across the business, driving growth through informed decision-making. Possesses exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in pricing, product availability, and reporting. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the strategic vision for merchandising and commercial functions, ensuring alignment with business goals. Oversee the full product lifecycle, from sourcing and buying to sales, ensuring stock availability across all platforms and territories. Implement pricing strategies to maximise profitability while remaining competitive, and drive cost efficiencies across the function. Build strong relationships with suppliers to secure favourable terms, streamline the supply chain, and optimise stock distribution across multiple sites. Use data insights and KPIs to drive strategic decision-making, ensuring commercial activities align with business objectives. Lead, mentor, and develop the Buying & Merchandising team to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Someone who: Exhibits strong commercial acumen with an interest in economics and investment. Is a proactive leader, involved in day-to-day operations and decision-making. Has a track record of mentoring and developing teams. Experience You\’ll Bring E-commerce, trading, FMCG or fintech experience preferred. Proficiency in Excel and data modelling. Knowledge of pricing strategies and a keen eye for detail. Leadership experience in commercial or product management.
