Role: Senior Assembly Technician (Gearbox / Powertrain)

Location: Leamington Spa – MTC, onsite

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 plus benefits

Ricardo’s Performance Products division is seeking a Senior Assembly Technician to assemble gearboxes and axles for bespoke programmes, to pre-defined build plans, while upholding the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assembly and end of line test of complex mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Working with relevant processes and committed to continuous learning.
• Supporting the team leader to plan, prioritise and ensure maximum productivity, working to deadlines and time pressures to achieve monthly build plans.

Knowledge and Experience

• Ability to use measurement equipment such as vernier, micrometer.
• Familiarity with problem-solving tools such as 8D for investigation of quality issues and the ability to work cross-functionally in resolution of quality issues.
• Capable of training others to a known standard.
• Supporting investigations and contributing ideas for continuous improvement.
• Manages time effectively and prioritises tasks to meet set deadlines.
• Pays attention to detail while following quality, health and safety procedures, and implements good judgment to make appropriate decisions.
• Shows vigilance and diligence, maintaining high standards of work while staying calm under pressure.

Desirable

• Some knowledge of LN system (ERP software for manufacturing).
• Ability to read and understand/interpret technical drawings/CAD models.
