Role: Senior Software Controls Engineer – Water Sector
Location: Waterlooville, Hampshire
Hours: Full-time, 37.5hrs per week, flexible hours

About the role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Software Controls Engineer to work in our Water Sector.
Reporting to the Sector Project Manager, the role is to contribute to supporting and delivering automation projects to the company’s key accounts.
The role will include the development of PLC, HMI and SCADA software on projects in a fast-paced and evolving industry sector. The role also includes a significant amount of customer-facing duties and site work.
Main Responsibilities:
- Produce and modify PLC, HMI and SCADA software to the agreed design as per customer standards.
- Advise our customers on automation solutions and “Best Practice” control system architectures.
- Carry out site surveys and assist with project quotations (engineering time and materials).
- Produce documentation for site access (RAMS and customer specific forms).
- Commit to the whole life cycle of delivering projects from start to finish.
The Person:
- Good working knowledge of PLC, SCADA and HMI’s for OEM’s such as Rockwell, Schneider, Mitsubishi, Aveva Wonderware and Beijer.
- Knowledge of setting up, commissioning, and fault finding of industrial networks.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematic diagrams from industrial environments.
- Awareness of the standards to be followed in the water sector.
- Experience of reading, programming and fault-finding PLC & SCADA application software.
