RVA’s Sudbury office is looking for an Engineering Designer to join their Municipal team in Sudbury.

We are a practice centred business that focuses on excellence through development of our people and fostering a sense of ownership of our projects. We are seeking partners to work and grow with us.

Duties:

  • Preparation of preliminary and final designs for road reconstruction and infrastructure renewal projects, stormwater projects, culverts, watermains, sanitary and storm sewers, and grading.
  • Preparation and coordination of approvals, tender documents, cost estimating, contract documents, and reports.
  • Preparation and editing of AutoCAD and Civil 3D design drawings as required.
  • Participation in contract administration services and inspections where required.
  • Other duties as required where appropriate for the position.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • 0-3 years’ engineering experience is preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience or familiarity with engineering software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D is required.
  • Knowledge of the local design and construction standards and requirements for permits and approvals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Possess a strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients.
  • Demonstrates superior English communication skills, both oral and written.
