Job Description
Production/ Manufacturing Engineer
LOCATION: Bradford
TERM: Permanent
SALARY: £45,000 – £55,000 Per Annum (dependent On Experience)
A new opportunity has arisen to join a globally recognised precision engineering company. The company is looking for a Manufacturing / Production Engineer to join their new and expanding team.
Ideally, the Manufacturing / Production Engineer would have the following:
- HNC Qualification or working towards something similar.
- Manufacturing / Quality based experience would be beneficial but not essential.
- The ability to implement continuous improvement and evaluate processes effectively.
- Experience using continuous improvement tools and Lean Manufacturing techniques such as VSM, SMED, TPM, Kaizen, 5S, Error proofing.
- The ability to design jigs and fixtures using CAD (3D CAD experience would be beneficial but not essential).
What the role will involve:
- Producing time estimates, detailed production routes, and specifying operation details accurately.
- Providing technical solutions, problem-solving solutions, and assisting the production personnel with their day-to-day activities.
- Using continuous improvement methods to review and improve the production process.
- Liaising with suppliers and providing test equipment capable of testing products to customer requirements whilst ensuring the safety of personnel is not compromised.
