Mechanic (HGV)
Weston-super-Mare
Circa £35,000 per year
Full-time, Permanent
Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (Day shift, Overtime and Weekend availability)
You will report directly to the Workshop Manager, and will be responsible for providing engineering support to the Workshop Engineering team. This will involve all aspects of engineering required to facilitate the smooth day-to-day running of the workshop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine vehicle inspections to Company Standards and completing repairs to the best of your ability.
- Working in a safe manner in accordance with Health & Safety directives.
- Dealing with vehicle faults as directed by the Manager.
- Acting promptly on issues raised by operations staff.
- Basic use of diagnostic equipment
- Notifying the Manager of any additional faults and repairs that are required.
- Entering details of vehicle faults and creating job cards onto the Fleet Management System.
- Reporting any technical issues that arise to the Engineering Manager.
