Contract Position

$26.05-$32.98/Hour

Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul tasks on military commercial derivatives, fighter aircraft, and aircraft components.
  • Read and interpret wire schematics and diagrams for accurate installations and repairs.
  • Execute bonding, resistance, and continuity checks independently.
  • Locate proper wire routing and conduct AC/DC power checks.
  • Complete wiring installations per specifications, including proper spacing, cable tie usage, and connector handling.
  • Perform wiring terminations such as stripping, crimping, and soldering.
  • Use electrical tools such as crimpers, megohmmeters, multimeters, and bond meters proficiently.
  • Install specialized cabling, including fiber optics and coaxial cables.
  • Conduct air data testing and scheduled maintenance tasks on avionic and electrical systems.
  • Maintain compliance with safety protocols, tool inventories, and regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and ensure the delivery of quality results on time.
  • Support team efforts, embracing diversity and inclusion, and report issues as part of an open safety culture.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Experience:
    • 6+ years of experience as an aircraft mechanic (Experience in either commercial or defense or relevant trade apprenticeship would be considered).
    • 6+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • FAA Airframe and/or Power Plant certification.
    • Familiarity with aircraft maintenance practices, including Human Factors, FOD control, and health & safety standards.
