Van Driver – Motherwell, North Lanarkshire
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Van Driver to join our well-established client based in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent hourly rates, consistent night shifts, and the potential for a temporary to permanent position within a respected logistics business.
Shifts
• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 06:00 – 09:30
Rates of Pay
• £12.86 – £16.72 per hour
Benefits
• Guaranteed ongoing work – weekly rota provided in advance

• Minimum of five hours paid per shift
• Weekly pay (PAYE – holidays accrued separately)

Day-to-Day Duties
• Assisting with loading and unloading goods at the start and end of each shift
• Delivering stock from the warehouse to retail stores and collecting returns (average 15 drops per shift)
• Driving safely and efficiently to meet delivery schedules
• Completing pre- and post-shift vehicle checks
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly
• Providing excellent customer service at all delivery points
• Working any four nights from seven – rota issued in advance
Essential Skills
• Valid UK Category B (Van) Driving Licence held for a minimum of two years
• Aged 21 or over (for insurance purposes)
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD, or CD convictions)
• Reliable, punctual, and customer focused
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Desirable Experience
• Previous commercial or multi-drop driving experience
Training Provided
• Paid site induction following successful theory and driving assessment
• Minimum of three training shifts alongside an experienced driver
