Proactive Personnel are working with a global manufacturing company to recruit for a Financial Controller who is responsible for the European region to join their UK head office team on a full time, permanent basis.
The Finance Controller (Europe) will be solely responsible for establishing, maintaining and enforcing accounting processes & policies for the European region, providing financial expertise to regional teams.
The Package
- Basic salary of £75k per annum
- Annual bonus of 15% taking the total package to £86,250 per annum
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays

Responsibilities
- Working with the Global Finance Controller to establish and maintain internal procedures and controls.
- Communicating department and global objectives.
- Finalising Year End Audits and reviews, ensuring they are completed on time by working closely with Finance Managers and Controllers across the business.
- Monthly closing matter including reviewal and signoff of trial balances submitted via SAP.
- Internal and external auditing.
- Managing the Transfer Pricing with Finance and Tax leads for Europe.
- Shared service implementation, working closely with regional finance teams.
- Team development, coaching and training to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and 7+ years finance experience.
- CA/CPA required.
- Ideally 3+ years experience within a management role, developing and leading staff across Europe.
- SAP and BPC/BW experience preferred.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Results orientated.
