B1.2 TEAM LEADER VEHICLE PRESENTATION

This post offers an exciting and fulfilling challenge. The post is to lead, direct, motivate and develop a team of staff who undertake cleaning activities, safely and in a cost-effective manner. Vehicle presentation roles involve carriage cleaning on ScotRail trains, so that our trains are ready for service. You will maintain safe working practices and a safe working environment, as well as optimising productivity and achieve high standards by utilising resources and equipment efficiently. Other duties include audit and report writing on team performance. You will also attend training and represent the Traincare Department at networking events.

* A flexible approach is essential in order to meet the team and customer demands.
* Computer literate, basic IT skills including MS Word & Excel.
* Sound knowledge of vehicle presentation standards, COSHH and health and safety at work procedures is desirable.
* Previous management or supervisory experience is desirable.
* The ability to drive is desirable.
Hours of work: 35-hour week. This post is constant nightshift and includes weekend working.
We offer an attractive reference salary of £38,034 per annum on completion of training. The trainee salary is £32,038 per annum.

Selection process:
Selection process: Candidates short-listed will be invited to complete on-line assessment. Candidates successful after assessment will be invited to attend an interview. The final stage for successful candidate is a conditional offer on passing a personal track safety medical, which includes drug and alcohol screening. Appointees must provide a basic disclosure Scotland check and at least 2 satisfactory references and complete a six-month probation period.
Training: Training initially involves a 2-day Induction training programme
