Job Title: Welding Coordinator Location: Walsall, West Midlands Compensation: Up to £55,000 depending on experience + Benefits Role Type: Full time / Permanent Role ID: SF60975 At Babcock, we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together. If you join us, you can play your part as a Welding Coordinator at our Walsall site. The Role As a Welding Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for managing all welding activities, including weld mapping, and acting as the subject matter expert for all welding-related issues within the business area. Day-to-day you\’ll: Control all training requirements for those involved with welding. Provide routine overview activities to ensure weld activities meet standards. Record competencies related to welding activities. Oversee the management of equipment in conjunction with quality control and assurance. This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week, based at our Walsall site. Experience Required of the Welding Coordinator Demonstrable experience in quality control, evaluation, and improvement in a production environment. Knowledge of welding processes and standards. Understanding of metallurgy and process technology in welding. Qualifications for the Welding Coordinator HNC / HND Level qualification in relevant engineering discipline. Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance.
