Recruit4Staff are proud to represent their client, an internationally renowned construction & civil engineering company in their search for a Bid Manager to work out of their London or Swindon Offices

For the successful Bid Manager our client is offering:

  • Day shifts
  • Permanent role
  • 25 days holiday + Bank holidays
  • Pension with up to 8% contribution from our client

The Role – Bid Manager:

  • To actively manage and win tender opportunities whilst providing clear leadership and direction for all members of the bid team
  • Drive and energise the bid team to achieve a successful outcome for each allocated tender. Following designated processes and best practice in place within organisation.
  • Ensure that a coherent bid strategy is developed, working in conjunction with the Business Development Manager and Sector Director
  • Keep senior management informed of development on tender and gain acceptance of key decision points.
  • Work with commercial manager to understand route map to deliver margin set within business plan.
  • Arrange and co-ordinate tender and post-tender meetings / interviews with the Client / Employers Agent.
  • Use and follow formal meeting agendas and save presentations as power-point slides onto corporate database.

What our client is looking for in a Bid Manager:

  • Proven experience in a similar role with extensive knowledge of Civil Engineering / Construction – ESSENTIAL
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Sound knowledge of the UK construction market – ESSENTIAL
  • Knowledge of Civil Engineering
  • Strong presentation and Client communication skills
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex client requirements and technical information.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with bid management software is a plus.

Key skills or similar Job titles: Bid Manager, Capture Manager, Business Development Manager, Deal Manager, and Pursuit Leader.
