Senior Consultant – Financial Communications
Citigate Dewe Rogerson is a leading international strategic communications consultancy. We specialise in corporate and financial communications and have offices across Europe, Asia and North America. We advise a broad range of clients – from private companies to large FTSE100s – on all aspects of their reputation management including brand building, capital market communications, including M&A and IPOs, crisis situations and thought leadership campaigns. We are part of Accordience, the global integrated communications group which is owned by private equity firm Clayton Dubilier & Rice.
Overview
We’re looking for a driven and ambitious Senior Consultant with experience of working with listed businesses and on capital market transactions, as well as privately owned clients. Experience in any or all of the financial services, consumer, TMT and industrials sectors would be an advantage.
We are looking for those with first-class account management and execution skills. Managing day-to-day activity across a portfolio of well-known brands and businesses, you will have the ability to begin making a strategic contribution to communication programmes in addition to executing the agreed scope of work. Ideally, you will have consultancy experience but candidates with an in-house background will also be considered.
You must be able to work at a high pace, be financially literate and have experience of capital market communications, comfortable with research data and thought leadership campaigns, and demonstrate an appetite to build relationships across the company, with relevant media contacts and potential new business prospects.
The day to day
- Build excellent working knowledge of clients’ business, sector and issues – and able to identify when and how to adapt strategy according to external developments.
- Strong and accurate writing skills across all key content areas (press releases, presentations, articles, reports, social, client briefings etc.).
- In-depth working knowledge of the financial media landscape in the UK and understanding of how to handle international media outlets.
- Develop and pitch stories to media with a strong network of contacts.
- Ensure that client work is being consistently delivered to a high standard by teams and meets the agreed Scope of Work.
- Develop high quality proposals for both new and existing clients.
- Manage an account team and act as a conduit between the team and Director level colleagues.
- Prepare for and lead client meetings, ensuring accounts are run smoothly and efficiently.
- Present to both small and large groups, including clients and in a pitch environment.
- Coordinate research-based thought leadership campaigns, working with external research providers to execution across different comms channels.
- Develop and mentor junior team members.
- Strong knowledge of the wider digital landscape including social media platforms, content marketing, and website development.
- Operate various communications platforms (databases and monitoring services) such as Bloomberg, Roxhill, Hubspot etc.
