Essence of the Role (Role’s Purpose):
We are seeking an innovative and strategic Director of Social Media to lead our social media efforts across multiple brands. The ideal candidate will be an expert in strategy, content creation, and data-driven decision making, with a strong ability to optimize approaches for different brands and platforms. This person will play a pivotal role in enhancing brand visibility, engagement, and overall digital presence.
Recipe for Success (Responsibilities):
- Social Media Strategy Development: Lead the creation, execution, and optimization of social media strategies for all brands within the company. Develop tailored strategies for each brand while ensuring alignment with overarching company goals across various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, SnapChat, X, etc.).
- Content Creation & Oversight: Oversee the development of engaging, creative, and on-brand content for social media platforms. Lead content planning and calendar management, ensuring timely, high-quality posts that align with brand identity and capitalize on current trends.
- Data-Driven Analysis: Utilize analytics to track, measure, and report on key performance metrics across social media channels. Continuously assess campaign performance and implement data-driven optimizations to improve reach, engagement, and conversions. Provide monthly reports to executive leadership, highlighting successes and recommending adjustments for ongoing improvement.
- Budget Management: Oversee and optimize social media advertising budgets, ensuring campaigns are effective and ROI is maximized across multiple platforms.
- Community Engagement: Lead efforts to foster and maintain strong online communities around each brand. Develop strategies for proactive engagement, influencer partnerships, and customer interaction across social channels.
- Trend Spotting & Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving social media platform features. Proactively suggest and implement new social media strategies to stay competitive and relevant in a fast-paced digital landscape.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of social media professionals, fostering a collaborative environment focused on creativity, efficiency, and continual learning. Provide guidance on best practices, content development, and campaign execution.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Ingredients Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in social media management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong experience in social media strategy, content creation, and analytics.
- Deep knowledge of social media platforms, tools, and trends.
- Proven track record of successfully leading social media campaigns across multiple brands.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
- Expertise with social media advertising platforms and tools (e.g., Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Google Analytics).
- Experience managing influencer or partnership programs.
- Creative skills or experience working closely with design teams on visual content development.
- Experience in consumer goods or brand management.
