Job Description

Are you as excited as we are about content as we are?\\n\\nWe are looking for someone to join our busy content team in the key role of Content Manager. This crucial role will help shape the content and customer experience of IGD.\\n\\nYou must have a real passion and talent for all things content, and a track record of delivering in a fast-paced and data-driven environment. You’ll be an organised, creative and collaborative leader, great at managing stakeholders and a demanding workflow.\\n\\nYou will be a proactive problem solver, have good knowledge of content design, SEO best practice, and attention to detail.

You will come with bags of enthusiasm and curiosity, and able to take the lead where needed.\\n\\nYou’ll be data-literate, have a strong background in stakeholder management, experience using content management systems, and a good understanding of content design and UX.\\n\\nThe Content Manager is a pivotal role and will work in tandem with the rest of the content and design team, creating and managing content updates, ensuring agreed best practice and process is followed, and that our customers have the best digital experience possible.\\n\\nA truly collaborative team player, you’ll be a data and customer-driven content expert, as adept at proofing copy or using the CMS, as you are at mapping journeys or managing stakeholders.\\n\\nYou’ll be an evangelist of excellence in content have experience line managing, bags of enthusiasm, and a passion for improving the customer experience.\\n\\nYou will mentor and develop junior members of the team, and be comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders.\\n\\nAbout the role\\n\\nThis is a crucial role in the IGD content team, working alongside the other Content Manager, content execs and Production Manager, and with line management duties. It will support both the Director of Customer Experience, and the broader Insight and Design teams, while collaborating with and supporting assigned discreet functions in the business by helping to manage and optimise their content on site.\\n\\nResponsibilities\\n\\nReporting directly into the Director of CX, your responsibilities will include but not exclusively:\\n\\nPlanning, scheduling, and optimising content across IGD’s digital presence:\\n\\n· Stakeholder management of various content producers across IGD\\n\\n· Governance, management and publishing of content for various IGD content producers, and maintaining a calendar / plan of scheduled work\\n\\n· Use insight and priorities to plan out, schedule and optimise content plans where directed\\n\\n· Support the Director of CX in managing relationships with senior stakeholders for your designated area(s)\\n\\n· Manage work as required to deliver content in your areas\\n\\n· Responsible for maintaining quality, adhering to deadlines, and following agreed process set out by Production Manager\\n\\nContinuous improvement and optimising of content and customer experience across IGD’s digital presence:\\n\\n· Using data and insight to understand and optimise performance, identify and act on opportunities\\n\\n· Ensure you and the team are adhering to and aware of best practice around SEO, content design, and content management\\n\\n· Help deliver best in class SEO and content strategy\\n\\n· Evangelise the team and its successes across the business, work with stakeholders to improve ways of working across teams\\n\\nSupporting the team and optimising performance:\\n\\n· Line management of content executive\\n\\n· Monitor and report back on content performance using Power BI and other tools\\n\\n· Manage and optimise taxonomies in your area(s)\\n\\n· Deputise for the Head of Content as required\\n\\n· Support and help develop the content strategy for IGD\\n\\n· Support the team as and when priorities change\\n\\n· Support in training and staff and tool development\\n\\nCarry out general content duties and best practice including but not limited to:\\n\\n· Building, updating, and creating content as required\\n\\n· Working with design and UX to map out journeys where required\\n\\n· Lead or feed into new projects and initiatives as directed\\n\\n· Handle all types of content management required for IGD’s content team in line with IGD best practice and as required\\n\\n· Proof and edit content including for grammatical errors/tone of voice\\n\\n· Responsible for quality and performance of content in key areas across the sites\\n\\n· Responsible for managing assets in the back end of the site: taxonomies, image libraries, feature boxes etc. as required\\n\\nWhat you bring\\n\\n· Qualification and / or background in journalism, digital content, and / content design.\\n\\n· Experience in content management, including using a variety of CMS, content design, SEO and content marketing.\\n\\n· Good knowledge of digital marketing teams and outputs\\n\\n· A team player with a flexible attitude and reliability with good interpersonal skills, able to work under pressure, to deliver work accurately and to deadline\\n\\n· An excellent communicator with a very high standard of written and spoken English\\n\\n· Possesses a wide range of influencing skills that inspires and creates transformational change\\n\\n· Enables and supports others to make decisions and take reasonable risks\\n\\nThe rewards\\n\\nWe offer a range of benefits, including a market-leading pension, a bonus scheme, the ability to buy and sell annual leave plus a generous medical insurance package At IGD, we have a great work-life balance, where you are empowered & trusted to manage your time.\\n\\nThe location\\n\\nWe are operating a hybrid approach to working with a mix of home and office-based working.
