Senior Quantity Surveyor

SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR – SOCIAL HOUSING – REFURBISHMENT

A leading and well-established social housing refurbishment main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be working out of their South East London office reporting into the Managing Quantity Surveyor and Managing Director. Projects that the Senior Quantity Surveyor will be working on will be mainly schedule of rates, and as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be leading your own projects.

DUTIES:

1. Supporting the Commercial Lead in contract cost management
2. Production of monthly updated CVRs for each project
3. Weekly measurement and valuation validations
4. Procurement and management of supply chains
5. Maintaining the commercial risk register
6. Cost analysis and cost reduction initiatives
7. Contract reviews and cost analysis

ABOUT YOU:

1. Professional Quantity Surveyor qualifications
2. Proven relevant experience, with a high level of commercial awareness
3. Ability to analyse problems and offer solutions
4. Extensive experience in managing supply chain accounts and valuations
5. Experience in risk management to support operational teams
6. Good communication and problem-solving skills
7. Excellent IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
