HGV Driver class 1

Safely and efficiently operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods to designated locations

• securing of loads to current regs

• Follow delivery routes

• Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any delays or issues that may arise

• Conduct pre use inspections of the vehicle to ensure vehicles/trailers are in good working condition, report any issues verbally and in writing

• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, AdBlue and any incidents or accidents

Valid commercial driver’s license HGV 1/Class 1 & DCPC

• Experience as a truck driver or delivery driver (not essential but preferred)

• knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic laws

• Good time management skills with the ability to meet delivery deadlines

• Ability to secure loads to the current regs

• Good communication skills and customer service-oriented mindset, Working Monday to Friday with four nights out per week, dedicated own truck, 28 paid days holiday per year, wide load experience would be beneficial but not essential.
