Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and talented Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for design, a passion for visual storytelling, and the technical skills to bring ideas to life. You’ll report into the Head of Marketing and closely with our Event Manager, Content Manager, DEI Manager, and Underwriting teams to develop visually compelling graphics that align with our brand identity. This will be on a part-time basis, 3 days per week.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and design a variety of visual content including digital and print materials, social media graphics, marketing collateral, and website assets.
  • Collaborate with teams to understand project requirements and deliver creative solutions that captivate the interests of audiences on LinkedIn and Direct mail.
  • Ensure consistency in design across all company platforms and materials, maintaining the integrity of the brand.
  • Presentation design – you’ll be responsible for elevating the design of company-wide presentations to ensure a professional and engaging look.
  • Work with our DEI Manager to ensure that all DEI activities are well supported by providing bespoke event invites and collateral.
  • Use various design software to create high-quality graphics and layouts that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
  • Present design concepts and ideas to internal teams, incorporating feedback and making revisions as necessary.
  • Perform ad hoc PDF document edit requests from the wider business.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and other graphic design software.
  • Good understanding of typography, colour theory, layout principles, and design aesthetics.
  • Ability to create and edit vector graphics, illustrations, and infographics.
  • Knowledge of printing processes and preparing files for print production.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Additional But Not Essential Skills

  • Experience with web design and knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus.
  • Premier Pro (or similar) editing experience.
  • Knowledge of the (re)insurance industry.
