Opto – Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Expert knowledge of precision mechanical mounting of optics for structural, dynamic, and thermal environments.
• Proven experience reviewing opto-mechanical designs and managing sub-contractor design progression through design reviews.
• Proficiency with CAD tools.
• Strong design and analysis experience related to opto-mechanical systems.
• Experience in requirements management, including compliance verification matrices, DFMEA, and risk registers.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize work independently and within a team.
• Capability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience preparing and presenting design documentation for development reviews.

Advantageous Skills & Experience:

• Background in optical system design and component selection.
• Previous experience in precision engineering or high-tech industries.
• Familiarity with relevant standards and development processes.
• Experience with specific CAD and PLM tools, such as PTC Creo and Windchill.
• Proficiency in structural, thermal, dynamic, and stress calculations.
• Extensive experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
