Job Title: Release Manager
Location: Remote
Rate: £331 per day – Inside IR35
Duration: 6 months

We are on the lookout for a highly skilled Release Manager to join our leading Financial service client. This role is pivotal in shaping, assessing, and driving the safe implementation of changes within our organisation. As a Release Manager, you will coordinate and leverage skills and experience from across IT and the wider CIO function to ensure that changes are deployed safely, protecting live services and delivering on our vision of a Digital First bank.

The role:

  • You will manage the full release life cycle, adhering to company standards, governance frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Your responsibilities will include owning and driving the delivery of a release or major project across the function, ensuring that it is completed within agreed budgets and timescales.
  • You will also identify, change, and embed ways to improve performance and effectiveness across implementation and release management processes.

Working closely with Portfolio Managers and Project Managers, you will agree on the scope of releases at the appropriate stage in the life cycle of each component.

You will manage senior stakeholders, both internal and external, and ensure that quality assurance and overall integrity across projects in the release are maintained to company standards. Additionally, you will manage releases through transition, ensuring appropriate program close and handover into BAU.

  • You should have a strong awareness of key periods and events within the organisation to ensure safe scheduling recommendations are adhered to.
  • You should also be aware of current industry best practices and innovations in implementation and release management.
  • Your ability to contribute to the overall IT strategy by designing and implementing release solutions to meet business objectives will be crucial.
  • Furthermore, you will demonstrate excellent team member behaviours and support the company’s brand and principles through the demonstration of our values and behaviours.
