Shipping Business Analyst
Location: London
Salary: up to £45,000 per annum depending on experience
Ref: 8171BA

Main Duties:

1. To support with data analysis projects and produce reporting tools.
2. To monitor cargo booking trends; to report on availability and forecast future availability.
3. To allocate vessel space and identify any concerns with availability vs demand.
4. To maintain strong client relations and ensure scheduled shipping services are adhered to.
5. To liaise with commercial departments and communicate cargo availability.
6. To identify optimal cargo movement to reduce congestion at ports whilst respecting fixed services.

Candidate\’s Profile:

1. Experience or Degree-Level Qualification in Maritime Shipping – Essential
2. Strong MS Excel skills – Essential
3. Experience in data analysis with knowledge of Power Query or Power Bi – Beneficial.
4. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
5. Proactive, confident and dynamic personality.
6. Excellent communication skills and a team player.
