Our Business Analyst Apprenticeship provides the ideal springboard for an exciting and meaningful career in global financial markets.

As an apprentice, you will join the Issuer Services team which sits within the Primary Markets team. Along with gaining a level 4 business analyst qualification, we will provide hands-on experience and guidance to support your continuous development.

The team

The team’s mandate is to build and maintain relationships with current and future issuers and intermediaries. As part of this, the team builds digital products and services for issuers and the broader financial ecosystem within the Issuer Services platform: have been careful to maintain our neutral position within the financial ecosystem and we are aiming to build an infrastructure that reflects this and digitises workflows for issuers and intermediaries.

Your role

You will support the Issuer Services team by working closely with the project and product managers. Additionally, you will assist the engagement team with activities such as conducting client demos and collecting feedback to enhance the Issuer Services offering.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Working with the business to support product ideation in collaboration with end users
  2. Communicating progress to a wide range of stakeholders
  3. Performing demos, gathering feedback, and ensuring a short feedback loop between releases and new development
  4. Supporting the user journey and user acceptance testing
  5. Supporting and driving internal approval, governance, and reporting processes

What we are looking for:

  1. Passionate about UX and web applications.
  2. Good communication, presentation, collaboration, and creative thinking skills.
  3. Proactive and a willingness to take responsibility and think beyond a specific task.
  4. A desire to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with varied responsibilities.
  5. Demonstrable experience working in an Agile development environment.
  6. Ability to rely on previous experience to influence strategic directions and guide senior stakeholder decisions.
  7. Be curious about the world we live in, which has helped create an awareness of financial markets.
  8. The opportunity will suit a candidate that has completed their A Levels/BTEC or equivalent and achieved BBC/MMP.

Studying an apprenticeship, you will need to meet the below criteria:

  1. Be over 18 years of age
  2. Live in England
  3. Not already be in full-time education at the point of start date.
  4. Achieved level 3 Qualification (Apprenticeship/A-Levels/BTEC etc.)
  5. 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at Grade 4 (C)
  6. Not be entered for a qualification of the same type, content, and level as that of this qualification

Recruitment Process:

  1. The first stage of the recruitment process involves making an application and submitting your resume – closing date for applications is 28 February 2025.
  2. The next stage of the application process is an untimed Immersive Online Assessment. The assessment is designed to give you an insight into what it’s like to work at LSEG.
  3. The second stage is a video interview where you will answer a series of questions using a strength-based interview format.
  4. The final stage is a half-day in-person assessment centre in April which involves several different types of exercises – further information is provided at the point of invite.
  5. Successful candidates will start 1 September on a starting salary of £24,700pa.
