The Role
We are seeking a Development Project Manager to lead our construction projects from inception to completion. ·Budgeting & Cost Management: Prepare comprehensive cost estimates and manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met.
·Planning & Compliance: Oversee the full planning and building control process, liaising with councils, architects, and regulatory bodies to secure necessary approvals.
·Construction Oversight: Manage contractors and on-site personnel, ensuring adherence to project plans, quality standards, and safety regulations.
·Procurement & Supplier Coordination: Source and maintain relationships with key suppliers—such as roofers, window manufacturers, and landscapers—to streamline procurement and delivery processes.
·Legal & Finance: Collaborate with solicitors on property acquisitions and related legal matters. Secure financing for new-build projects and manage financial performance.
·Risk Management: Identify potential project delays, including utility issues and environmental restrictions, and implement mitigation strategies.
·Quality Assurance: Ensure all work meets established quality standards and complies with relevant regulations and codes.
·Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, including clients, team members, and external partners.
·Technical Oversight: Interpret and review plans, drawings, and technical specifications to ensure accurate execution on-site.
·Investment Opportunity Identification: Research and identify potential property acquisitions that align with our development profiles, conducting feasibility analyses to assess their suitability.
About You

·Proven ability to develop and manage detailed build programs and associated costs.
·Strong understanding of planning regulations, building control, and site management.
·Excellent network of suppliers and contractors in the construction industry.
·Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate potential project delays.
·Financial acumen, particularly in securing funding and managing budgets for new-build projects.
·Experience in identifying and evaluating investment opportunities in line with development objectives.
·Proactive problem solver with excellent leadership and communication skills.
