Site Manager

Location: Sheffield

Salary: £28,624 – £31,067 per annum

The Role

  1. To be responsible for the general maintenance, cleanliness and security of the academy and to maintain the premises (both internally and externally) in a clean, safe, sound and secure condition for staff, pupils, parents and community users.
  2. To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the academy.

Skills and Qualifications

  1. IT literate and able to operate software (e.g., Microsoft Office, internet) at a basic level

  3. Good verbal and written communication skills appropriate to the need to communicate effectively
  4. Ability to work constructively as part of a team, understanding school roles and responsibilities including own
  5. Self-starter, with the ability to work independently & use own initiative to overcome obstacles
  6. Ability to build and form good relationships with students, colleagues and other professionals
  7. Able to follow direction and work in collaboration with line manager, leadership team and the trust’s facilities team
  8. DIY and/or grounds maintenance experience
  9. Experience of working in a school or similar establishment; experience of managing budgets and budget monitoring
  10. Willing to undertake a range of training
  11. Ability to reach, bend and carry out some heavy lifting
