Role Overview
The Tissue Viability Clinical Nurse Specialist will provide specialist/evidence-based nursing services to our customers. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse with proven clinical expertise, leadership experience, and demonstrable background in Tissue Viability.
Reporting to the Lead TVN, the Tissue Viability CNS is an influential role and recognized as being an expert in advanced complex wound therapies. You will support initiatives to improve the services to our customers and ensure complete adherence to clinical compliance and regulatory/governance requirements as relevant for your specialization.
What you’ll do:
- You’ll have the responsibility for leading the tissue viability service, developing high quality, evidence-based wound care practice in the management of inpatients and outpatients with complex and/or chronic wounds in CH.
- You’ll devise and evaluate care plans for patients with compromised skin integrity based on the assessment process, with realistic nursing goals in consultation with patients, family, and the multi-professional team.
- You’ll support the development and facilitation of new procedures, techniques, protocols, and policies for our tissue viability services.
- You’ll support the development of the tissue viability link nurse group across the organization and promote and develop education programs for nursing staff and other members of the multi-professional team. You will also participate in the orientation of new staff and the delivery of the tissue viability educational program to healthcare personnel involved with wound care and skin care within the hospital.

- Significant understanding of ILS/ALS
- Proven history as an RN in Tissue Viability (essential)
- Knowledge of current policies as set by NICE, EPUAP, and EWMA (essential)
- Post-registration study in Tissue Viability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels
