Applications are invited for a dynamic and motivated Consultant Radiologist with a sub-speciality in Musculoskeletal (MSK) Imaging at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust.
Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust provides Radiology services across 3 main sites – Wexham Park Hospital, Heatherwood Hospital and Frimley Park Hospital and has 5 satellite sites.
This is a new post which will support increasing service demand, workload commitments and reporting requirements. The post will be primarily based at Frimley Park Hospital, but may require sessions based at Wexham Park and Heatherwood Hospitals.
A further additional alternative subspecialty would be desirable in order to allow for contribution to non-MSK reporting and multidisciplinary involvement.
The successful applicants will provide a full range of MSK Radiology including CT, MRI, plain film and ultrasound and fluoroscopy. Participation in multidisciplinary (MDT) team meetings is also expected as well as diagnostic Radiology on call.
Main duties of the job
To provide a comprehensive Musculoskeletal Imaging Service and to support the general Radiology workload of the department including the on call service.
The basis of the post is 10 programmed activities including MSK interventional sessions, cold reporting, acute imaging reporting and clinicoradiological MDTs.
Participation in the Frimley Park Hospital weekend / overnight diagnostic Radiology rota occurs on a 1 in 16 basis. Non-clinical responsibilities include active participation in governance and medical audit. SPA time will also be provided for continuing professional development and fulfilling the required commitment for appraisal and revalidation.
