Job Title
HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER WITH A MINIMUM 1 YEAR ON THE ROAD EXPERIENCE
Overview
We are recruiting HGV class 1 drivers for our prestigious automotive client in Minworth, Birmingham.
Work is trunking‑based (no handball) or involves collections and trailer swaps (curtain‑side).
Locations
- Solihull (Damson Parkway) B92
- Erdington B24
Various start times around the clock, with ad‑hoc shifts or full weeks available.
Schedule
Monday to Friday with optional weekends.
Pay Rates
- Days (Apply online only) – £15.95 per hour (guaranteed 9 hours per day: 8 hrs basic + 1 hr overtime)
- Nights (Apply online only) – £19.94 per hour (guaranteed 9 hours per day: 8 hrs basic + 1 hr overtime)
- Overtime Nights (after 8 hrs) – £27.92 per hour
- Overtime Days (after 8 hrs) – £23.93 per hour
- Saturday Days – £23.93 per hour
- Saturday Night/Sunday – £31.90 per hour
- Bank Holiday – £31.90 per hour
Paid breaks, 9 hours guaranteed per day, 33 paid days of holiday, weekly pay, pay increases after 1 year of service.
Requirements
- Class 1 licence (UK issued)
- Driver CPC (UK issued)
- Digicard (UK issued)
- Minimum 1 year on the road experience
- Held LGV licence for at least 2 years
- Coupling/uncoupling of trailers
- Maximum 6 penalty points
- No DR or DD convictions
