About the role:
As the Head of Editorial you will be responsible for shaping and driving editorial strategies, ensuring the creation of impactful, culturally relevant content, and leading a best in class team of copywriters, social creatives, and content creators. This role requires a blend of editorial excellence, strategic thinking, and a passion for social culture to deliver content that resonates with audiences across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and Facebook.
The job
Leadership & Team Management:
- Build, lead, and manage a world-class editorial team, including copy writers, social creatives, and content creators, ensuring the highest standards of content production.
- Foster a newsroom environment that thrives on collaboration, cultural relevance, creativity, and a drive to succeed, where each team member feels motivated to deliver their best work.
- Hire and mentor talent, guiding team members in their professional growth while maintaining a strong, creative team dynamic.
- Develop and manage a content calendar aligned with client goals and brand identity.
- Create timely, culturally relevant content while balancing planning and real-time trends.
- Experiment with new content formats to keep social media fresh and engaging.
- Oversee content creation across multiple channels.
- Lead community engagement strategies to foster meaningful audience interactions.
- Stay ahead of social media trends, digital content, and emerging technologies.
- Ensure content is culturally relevant, strategically sound, and trend-aware.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with client teams and clients to understand our client’s brand voice, goals, and risk profile, ensuring that editorial content aligns with their broader marketing and communication strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (studios, design, strategy, etc.) to ensure content is aligned with business objectives.
