Our Client, a leading global asset manager, is looking for an experienced Funds Counsel to join their team here in London. The mandate has a strong development arc that will include global strategic regulatory change programmes. This is a critical mandate as the firm experiences significant growth and the right individual will be joining a strong team of peers covering a global mandate. A strong IMA and distribution agreement skillset is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Fund formation, drafting and negotiations
- Regulation horizon scanning and legal change management
- Legal advice to the business
Requirements:
- 7-12 PQE
- Trained and qualified in a ranked funds practice
- Minimum 18 months in-house in Tier 1 financial services organisation (secondments considered)
- Strong UK & EU Regulatory knowledge - mandatory
- Exposure to US Regulations - highly desirable
- Strong academic track record
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Must be England & Wales, Scotland or Ireland qualified
- Must have the right to work in the UK. The client will not sponsor for this role
