They are seeking an experienced Senior Instructional Designer to join their content team in their Central London office. The successful candidate will play a vital role in designing and delivering engaging and scientifically-accurate learning solutions for clients in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. This is an opportunity to lead impactful projects within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Learning Design: Collaborate with clients and subject matter experts to understand strategic learning needs. Design and develop blended learning programmes, including e-learning modules, workshops, simulations, and multimedia content. Ensure all solutions adhere to adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.
- Content Development: Create compelling and scientifically accurate learning materials, transforming complex information into clear and engaging narratives. Work closely with medical writers, graphic designers, and other team members to ensure content quality and coherence.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Design strategies to assess learning effectiveness, including quizzes, feedback mechanisms, and analytics. Continuously improve programmes based on learner feedback and data insights.
- Business Development Support: Contribute to proposal development and pitches, offering innovative ideas to meet client needs. Support the agency\’s growth by presenting effective learning solutions to potential clients.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards for all instructional content, conducting reviews and ensuring adherence to internal processes. Champion best practices and mentor junior team members to elevate overall content quality.
Who Are You?
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years in instructional design, preferably within an agency or consultancy setting. Strong background in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical communications is highly desirable.
- Education: A BSc degree or higher in a life sciences subject is a must. Anything higher is a definite bonus!
- Technical Skills: PowerPoint skills for storyboarding are essential, while proficiency with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline/Rise and a familiarity with LMS platforms is also required. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to translate complex scientific information into accessible and engaging content. Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality. Proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Creative Problem-Solving: Demonstrates innovation in designing learning solutions and addressing client challenges. Experience in gamification, simulations, and scenario-based learning is an advantage.
