DESCRIPTION

Amazon opened its virtual doors in 1995 and strives to be the world’s most customer-centric company, where customers can find and discover anything they might want to buy online. The goal of Amazon Logistics is to build a world-class last mile operation. Amazon Logistics aims to exceed the expectations of our customers by ensuring that their orders, no matter how large or small, are delivered as quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively as possible.

The Amazon Logistics Engineering team is seeking an experienced Program Manager with an Engineering background. Our team defines and develops physical infrastructure for last mile operations in Emerging Countries.
As the Engineering Program Manager, you will be responsible for governing 200+ projects from ideation to post-mortem across 7 countries in Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa. This involves creating mechanisms to support our engineers in structuring planning, execution, and reporting. You will take the lead in reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis, consuming input from 20+ engineers within the team. On a twice-yearly basis, you will lead planning cycles for the organization, including setting up the structure to develop a forward-looking multi-year roadmap of projects, getting the team’s head together to discuss direction, and translating the multiple projects into a consolidated plan to deliver to our internal customers.
You will act as a key point of contact for the WW Engineering org, frequently partnering with peers across multiple regions to contribute to reporting at a WW level.
This position requires proficient writing and communication skills, customer focus, autonomy, and exceptional project management expertise. It will involve regular communication with executors and project sponsors at both the country, regional, and WW level, and requires you to be detail-oriented and comfortable partnering across functional business and technical teams. To be successful in this role, you need to pair strong analytical skills and a data-driven outlook with strong intuition and a hands-on attitude while navigating an ambiguous, complex, and diverse business environment.

This role will be based out of London and involves occasional international travel as well as interactions across various time zones.
