Head of Procurement Newcastle upon Tyne Permanent Competitive Salary Newcastle United, the beating heart of the city, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Procurement to lead our procurement function. Bringing the people and communities together, join the Newcastle United Family, as we embark on the next steps of our exciting journey. About the role As the Head of Procurement, you will build, implement and lead a brand-new procurement function across the club. You will provide strategic insight, practical application and operational contribution to procurement throughout the club. You will develop and produce reporting frameworks, ensuring compliance with the clubs Delegation of Authority framework and deliver optimum cost efficiencies and best practice purchasing. Supporting the clubs SECR objectives, you will ensure a sustainability and ecological lens during the procurement process. Your impact You will be educated to degree level within either, Business, Supply Chain Management or Purchasing. You will have proven experience in procurement management, ideally within a sports or entertainment, facilities or property. You work with a strategic mindset and a proven negotiator, with the ability to build and maintain relationships. You’re result focused, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. About the team You will work within our Finance directorate, reporting into our Director of Finance. You will work closely with the wider Finance team and wider business when building the team.
