A Housing Association in Northamptonshire is seeking an Interim Head of Financial Accounting to lead the hands-on management and delivery of year-end. With a manual process in place due to an ongoing systems change, this role requires a proactive accountant who can pull together financial information, liaise with auditors, and ensure a smooth year-end process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing statutory accounts for all entities within the Group.
  • Coordinating the preparation for year-end, ensuring key deadlines are met.
  • Acting as the key liaison for external auditors, providing necessary documentation and responses.
  • Managing a manual year-end process, gathering financial data from across the organisation.
  • Providing high-level review and oversight of financial statements, reconciliations, and audit queries.
