Our Team

The Collections team will sit within our Enterprise Systems CIO function and is responsible for supporting the Collection and Recovery process within the Bank. We are currently in the process of upgrading the Debt Manager application which is used as the primary Collections & Recoveries tool for PCAs, Loans, Legacy Credit Cards, and SME Lending. Once upgraded, the latest version of the application will be hosted in the Cloud as Software as a Service. We need someone to enable this journey through the development of Debt Manager Strategies, Workflows and Interfaces.

What you’ll be doing

  • Responsible for assisting with the design, development, and implementation of Debt Manager Strategies, Workflows and Interfaces.
  • Working closely with other technical teams that own applications which work in conjunction with the Debt Manager application including the 3rd Party vendor, C&R Software to develop end to end solutions.
  • Provide day to day support to our business colleagues that use the Debt Manager Application and working collaboratively with various business stakeholders to understand and define change.
  • Accountable for ensuring the business and technical architecture of the delivered solution matches technical and functional requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of issues, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation, as appropriate.
  • Works closely with Project managers to size work and manage scope, risks, and issues.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of ‘best practice’ initiatives within the specialist area of activity or IT in general and an awareness of global developments / practices.

We need you to have

  • Ability to design, configure, and test Debt Manager strategies, user interface (FitAgent and Classic), decision engine (FitLogic) and wider configuration.
  • Proficient in PostreSQL with an understanding of relational databases and the ability to build and support data import and extraction routines using the Debt Manager proprietary tools.
  • An understanding of AWS Cloud concepts.
  • Experience developing and delivering projects using both iterative and waterfall software development lifecycles over multiple releases.
  • Motivated, takes accountability, inspires confidence.

It’s a bonus if you have but not essential

  • Insatiable curiosity to maintain a detailed understanding of ‘best practice’ initiatives within the specialist area of activity or IT in general and an awareness of global developments / practices.
  • Ability to acta as a coach and mentor as appropriate to other members of the technical team
  • Financial Services industry experience, particularly in Collections and Recoveries with experience of the Debt Manager application.
