Job Description
Blue Arrow is currently recruiting for an experienced Printer/Finisher to join our clients team based in Aberdeen on a full time temporary basis.
The ideal candidate will work well on their own initiative as part of a team to help produce high quality products, be technically adept with experience working with paper, ink and print as well as finishing equipment. The ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and maintain a calm approach to overcome production issues is also desirable.
Main Duties
* Operate two colour lithographic offset printing press
* Operate Roland and HP large format printers
* Operation of high-volume colour and mono digital printing devices
* Laise daily with the print supervisor of any production issues or or problems along with ensuring adequate stocks are maintained.
* Manage workload ensuring priority jobs are completed to deadlines stated.
* General cleaning & Maintenance of machinery
* Hand finishing work
* Working in accordance with Health and Safety and environmental guidelines.
* Carry out such other related duties as assigned.
Experience
* Previous experience working with a busy litho or digital print environment producing high quality litho/digital/large format print.
* Experience of binding and finishing work using machinery such as guillotines, booklet markers, collators, folders, laminators and foilers.
Requirements
* City & Guilds print and finishing qualification or a level 2 or 3 NVQ certificate in print finishing
